Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is keen on playing a good Bahu than playing a steamy romance on-screen with anyone other than hubby Abhishek. However, producer Rohan Sippy is bent on having her in his next film and is planning to fly to Boston to convince her. Sriram Raghavan, who is directing the yet untitled film, and John Abraham, who will play the male lead, too are eager to have Aishwarya. In fact, when their first celluloid pairing in Raghavan’s ‘Happy Birthday’ fell apart, John was bitterly disappointed to have lost a viable co-star.Aishwarya on the other hand is playing safe with her choice of roles. She left Karan Johar’s film because she didn’t want to play a woman who has many men in her life. Now, in Sriram’s film, she’d rather not do an intense romance with John.
A source close to Aishwarya said, “After marriage, Aishwarya’s personal and professional priorities have changed completely. She’ll do nothing that would even remotely compromise her position as the Bachchan daughter-in-law.â€
