Hema Malini is angry with Rituparno Ghosh because the director offered a miniscule role to Esha Deol in his film ‘The last Lear’.
For those who haven’t heard the ring of the movie, Rituparno Ghosh has announced an English film ‘The Last Lear’ with Amitabh Bachchan playing the title role. The film is supposedly a tribute to Utpal Dutt as the film is based on his play Aajker Shahjahan.
Producer Arindam Choudhuri says that Amitabh was the first choice for the role of Shakespeare’s King Lear. In The film, Amitabh Bachchan will play an old but passionate, fading Shakespearean actor.
Apart from Big B, Preity Zinta and Arjun Rampal have also been signed for the project. Divya Dutta and Shefali Shah will also star in the film.
