In her ambitious international project ‘The Quest of Sheherzade’, sexy Celina Jaitley will play the role of a mythological beauty Sheherzade. The role requires a lot of stunt and action and the gal is all set and prepared for the role.“It’s a role that requires extensive stunts. Fortunately my father is an army officer. I learnt horse riding in school. But doing so without a saddle requires plenty of training. And I’m off to the US in February 2008. Shooting starts probably in Turkey next Summer,” says Celina.

John Abraham woos Bipasha Basu in a music video

After having charmed the Bong beauty Bipasha Basu off-screen, it was John’s turn of charming Bips …on-screen. John Abraham did so when she shot for a promotional music video for their upcoming film Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, in a suburban studio in which he tries to woo Bips in various manners. However, it’s only in the end when he comes as a football player that she succumbs to his charms.‘Goal’ runs with a storyline of Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani as Shaan and Tony Singh trying to revive a dying Football Club. Things take a turn when John Abraham as Sunny Bhasin joins the team. Running parallel to the tale is the love story of Shaan’s cousin Rumana ( Bipasha Basu) with Sunny.

‘Good Luck’ for Sayali Bhagat

From a long time Bollywood film makers have been copying Hollywood films under the tag of ‘inspiration’. The latest in the bandwagon is Aditya Datt whose next venture ‘Good Luck’ is ‘inspired’ by Hollywood comedy ‘Just My Luck’ starring Lindsay Lohan and Chris Pine. The movie has Sayali Bhagat and Aryeman in the lead roles. Other stars include Ranvir Shorey and Lucky Ali.The original Hollywood flick had Lindsay playing the luckiest girl in New York City while Chris playing the unluckiest guy. Their lucks swapped when Lindsay kissed Chris at a masquerade resulting in bad luck for Lindsay and golden fortune for Chris. To regain her lost luck back, Lindsey goes about kissing every guy she meets.

Aishwarya Rai Celebrated her 34th Birthday at Taj Mahal

It is merely not an incident but something pre-destined that brought Aishwarya Rai, who is playing role of Mumtaz Mahal in Ben Kingsley’s film to celebrate her 34th birthday in Agra. She was joined in party with Amitabh and Jaya Bacchan and Abhishek was already there as both reached in Agra for a shoot of an Ad to be performed on Wednesday 31st October 2007.This is Aishwary’s first birthday on November 1st 2007 after her marriage and it is very special for her as she said, “This is my first birthday after marriage and therefore a very special occasion. But that apart, you know me. Spending time with the people I love is my greatest joy. I’m in a very happy place…”

Despite her hectic schedule Aishwarya in US after the shooting of Pink Panther she reached India in time for Karwa Chauth, however, she was complaining about media “I came back from the US from shooting Pink Panther in time for Karwa Chauth. God knows how the tv cameras got our shots, probably from neighbour’s premise.”

As a birthday gift she only wants, “Just blessings and good wishes. Apart from that God has given me everything.”

Sandhya Mridul offered an Item Song

Sandhya Mridul who had never really got an opportunity to shake a leg in any of her films due to the roles she played, is now letting herself free on the sets of the dance competition “Jhalak Dikhla Ja”.Apart from this, what has come as a pleasant surprise or rather as a “shock” to Sandhya, is that after seeing her sizzle to the song “Mehbooba Mehbooba”, she has been offered an item song by G.S Entertainment in their forthcoming film which is to be directed by Bunty Walia.

According to a source, Sandhya has agreed to do the item number though she did not feel that her image works upto that of an item girl!

Sandhya who is apparently very skeptical about the whole issue, is considering the offer as a golden opportunity, but has preferred to keep it silent before anything materializes. She is surely excited about her stance in “Jhalak Dikhla Jaa” about which she said, “My world has changed I can now figure out the difference between a cha cha cha and a rock-and-roll and a samba. It is definitely an overwhelming experience for me.”

Salman Khan – Tarzan of Bollywood

After a brief hiatus and a short trip to the jail, Salman Khan is back in action. This time he is once again baring his chest for a movie titled “Tarzan” where he gets to play the title role! In fact he might even be seen sans his trousers if his role so demands.With his well crafted muscles, toned body and a shaven chest, it seems that Salman won’t have much problems getting into the skin of the character of “Tarzan”. In fact this handsome dude considers himself lucky to get such a role. “”I was always fascinated by Tarzan stories and I am glad that I have got a chance to do the film,” Salman told mediapersons in Mumbai.

Salman has decided to go in for a different kind of hairstyle for the film which will be shot in the jungles. In fact he seemed quite excited about shooting with animals amidst huge mushrooming trees.

“Tarzan” which will be directed by well known director Aneez Bazmee, will hit the theatres next year. Seeing this Khan bare his chest again, will be a delight especially for all his female fans!!

It’s just fashion and films for Rozza Catalano

After Saif Ali Khan’s public announcement about his affair with Kareena, his Italian ex girlfriend Rozza Catalano has been trying to concentrate on her career into Hindi films.This beautiful belle has signed her first film which is titled “Shaurya”. It will be produced by Moserbaer and directed by Samar Khan. About signing this Italian damsel, Khan speaks, “I had been looking for a girl with an international face and Rozza was the first choice for the role.”

Apart from Rozza, this film stars Rahul Bose, Minisha Lamba and Kay Kay Menon. The music is composed by the very famous Adnan Sami.

Films are not the only thing that’s keeping Miss Catalano busy these days. She has also been roped in for a fashion based show on TV which will soon hit the small screen. Says the optimistic woman, “I am happy with the kind of offers I am getting. I am sure the future is bright.”

After having learnt six different languages, Hindi will be the 7th for Rozza but she is positive about mastering the lingo. For now we can just wait for this stunning actress to woo us on screen.

Rituparna Sengupta in ‘Mittal v/s Mittal’

Karan Razadan’s next project is titled ‘Mittal vs Mittal’ which will be based on the subject of domestic violence. Rituparna Sen Gupta will portray the role of the victim and Rohit Roy has been roped in for male lead who will play Ritu’s husband’s role. Suchitra Krishnamurthy will play Ritu’s lawyer’s role. The film also stars Gulshan Grover and Reema Raghav. Shamir Tandon has composed the music for the film.Mittal V/s Mittal is a story of a woman whose life turns into a nightmare after marrying her love interest. Feeling proud to have got an opportunity to play such a sensitive character Rituparna says, “My character is of a simple woman who ends up getting married to a man who is both mentally and physically sick who sexually exploits her.” She also adds, “Her miserable life compels her to file a case against her in-laws and finally emerges as the winner.”

Bollywood’s promising actor, Kunal Kapoor, is happy with his first on-screen lip-lock which he shared with Konkona Sen Sharma in ‘Laaga Chunari Mein Daag’. The movie was also Kunal’s first family drama and he shares screen space with Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan in the film.“My first on-screen kiss, Konkona and I did it well, considering we did it in below-zero temperature in Switzerland with 50 people gawking,” Kunal told IANS.

Tanushree Dutta overcomes her fears

Tanushree is playing an action heroine in producer Sahil Khan’s jungle thriller ‘Ramma – The Saviour’. Shooting for the film in the jungles of Thailand has helped Tanushree get over some of her chronic fears.Not many know that Tanushree has not learnt swimming for aquaphobia, the fear of water, which she has been suffering with since her childhood. Now, while shooting for certain portions of the film in and under water, she had to cope up with her fears.

The film’s action director Peter Hann, who has also been teaching martial arts to Tanushree, gave the actress some basic tips about swimming and holding breath underwater. Thereafter, Tanushree was harnessed to a safety cable to keep her from drowning.

Apart from this, the actress also conquered her fear of insects and reptiles while shooting in the jungles of Thailand.

Priyanka Chopra and Bobby Deol in ‘Chamku’

The success of ‘Apne’ has set the spirits high for the Deols and they now seem in a mood to revive their home production, Vijeta films. Their first film will be rolling soon in October with Bobby Deol, Priyanka Chopra and Arshad Warsi in lead roles.Director Kabeer Kaushik says, “The film is called Chamku and we will commence it’s shooting in a month’s time. However, I can’t reveal much about the story.”

’Chamku’ will be the third film of Priyanka Chopra and Bobby Deol together after ‘Kismat’ and ‘Barsat’. After considering the fate of the earlier ones, we do hope and wish, this film clicks the ‘Kismat’ of Vijeta films.

Aishwarya Rai – a good Bachchan Bahu

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is keen on playing a good Bahu than playing a steamy romance on-screen with anyone other than hubby Abhishek. However, producer Rohan Sippy is bent on having her in his next film and is planning to fly to Boston to convince her. Sriram Raghavan, who is directing the yet untitled film, and John Abraham, who will play the male lead, too are eager to have Aishwarya. In fact, when their first celluloid pairing in Raghavan’s ‘Happy Birthday’ fell apart, John was bitterly disappointed to have lost a viable co-star.Aishwarya on the other hand is playing safe with her choice of roles. She left Karan Johar’s film because she didn’t want to play a woman who has many men in her life. Now, in Sriram’s film, she’d rather not do an intense romance with John.

A source close to Aishwarya said, “After marriage, Aishwarya’s personal and professional priorities have changed completely. She’ll do nothing that would even remotely compromise her position as the Bachchan daughter-in-law.”

Now, her sister Tanisha Mukherjee gets to fulfil her passion for the zari adorned nauvaree sarees in her forthcoming movie ‘Sarkar Raj’.Tanisha will adorn the traditional Maharashtrian nine yard sari that her grandmother Shobhna Samarth wore in her yesteryear films for Ram Gopal Verma’s sequel to ‘Sarkar’. Her mother, Tanuja, taught her to drape the sari in the same old fashioned manner like her grandma. Manish Malhotra will be designing her other costumes for the film.

‘Horn Ok Please’ to go on floors

Rakesh Sarang is making his directorial movie debut with ‘Horn Ok Please’. The movie will have Muzamil Ibrahim and Rimi Sen who will play double roles.  The film has Nana Patekar in the lead role playing a truck driver. Lalit Pandit will give the musical notes for the film which is set to go on floors on October 15 and is expected to release by January.Sarang, who is not new in the field of direction with a lot of TV serials to his credit is quite excited about this venture and says, “Horn Ok Please is neither slapstick nor dialogue but a situational comedy with lot of twist and turns.” He adds, “Rimi Sen will be seen opposite both Nana and Muzamil, as she plays a double role.”

Excited about exploring into new genre Muzamil says, “The script of the film is amazing and I am looking forward to work with Nana Patekar who I believe is one of the honest actors in the film fraternity”.

Malaika Arora khan is known for her sexy image and even sexier dance numbers. But the lady knows where to draw her line. Even as she appeared on the covers on Maxim magazine which was red hot, she has turned down the offer to walk the ramp in a bikini for for Ms Bikini India 2007 contest.Sources have it that Malaika asked for a big amount of money from the organizers of the event, which is to be held in Goa in December. Later, Malaika told a Mumbai tabloid that the big money she asked was just a way to refuse the offer. She said she has never worn a bikini either in a film or on the catwalk, and will never do so.

The organizers of the pageant seem very keen to have Malaika for the show. So they are now talking with the actress to either host a segment of the show or be the pageant’s brand ambassador.

Akshay Kumar and his pranks

Akshay Kumar is well-known for his pranks on the sets. So, it is no wonder that Vidya Balan and Amisha Patel fell prey to him on the sets of comedy-horror film “Bhool Bhulaiya” in Jaipur.It so happened that one day Akshay arrived on the sets with a man carrying a handycam. The man used to shoot Akshay all the time and talked a lot to him. This went on for about 4-5 days. Finally, Akshay introduced the man to his co stars as a reporter with a reputed television channel and requested that the leading ladies give him interviews. Vidya and Amisha promptly obliged and gave a warm interview giving details about the film, their roles and careers.

As soon as the interviews were over, the man went up to Akshay and the two started laughing aloud. That’s when Akshay disclosed that the man was not a reporter but his physical trainer. Next, the girls were fuming and everyone else was having a hearty laugh. The only one who didn’t fall for Akki’s prank was Shiney Ahuja, since he knew well that the man was Akshay’s physical trainer.
