After all the guessing, denying and shying, it is wedding bells at last for the Sanjay- Manyata pair. The couple was married at a ceremony that took place at Taj Exotica on February 7, 2008. The Hindu rituals took place at Verosva in Andheri. The marriage was attended by Sanjay Dutt`s close friends- Suniel Shetty, Nitin Manmohan, Bunty Walia.Sanjay Dutt’s sister Priya Dutt expressed her surprise at the wedding and said that the she had no information about the supposed wedding and was not called for it. She told Zee News, “You can tell me about the venue and I will go there. I am happy for Sanjay. I have not been informed and asked about it. Maybe he doesn’t give it that kind of importance to mention it any further as he is seeing Manyata since a long time. Sanjay is 50 yrs old and too old to ask us for suggestions. I will just wish him all the very best.â€
The couple came out for a photo-op and thanked the media, his friends and fans for the constant support. When asked what his immediate plans were, he said that he had his shooting committments, henceforth would be staying in Mumbai as of now. Dutt reportedly gifted Manyata a diamond ring worth Rs 40 lakh as a wedding gift.
