Pathaan, a movie starring Shah Rukh Khan, has completed three weeks in theatres and is still going strong at the box office, not only in India but also in the overseas market. The action-packed spectacle has broken several records in the UAE and North America and has now claimed the number one spot in Australia. This is a testament to the movie’s enduring popularity among audiences worldwide.
During its impressive 20-day run at the box office, Pathaan has grossed a total of 953 crores worldwide, with 593 crores coming from the Indian market and the remaining 360 crores from overseas. The film has now made a significant impact in Australia.
According to Nishit Shaw, a trade analyst, Pathaan has become the highest-grossing Indian film in Australia, having collected A$4.51M so far. It has surpassed the lifetime collection of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which had grossed A$4.50M. The other movies in the top five highest-grossing Indian films in Australia include RRR (A$3.6M), KGF (A$3.45M), and Padmaavat (A$3.16M), respectively.
It is worth noting that Pathaan has yet to conclude its lifetime collections. Therefore, there will be a significant gap in collections from Baahubali 2, which has currently only been surpassed by a narrow margin.
